I was talking with someone couple of days ago regarding the tough market that is experiencing the action sports companies. I used to work three blocks from the DC headquarter in Vista, Ca. It seems that after the 10% lay off back in August, Quik want to consolidate its offices and to do so, they are closing DC in Vista and relocating in the Quiksilver headquarter in Huntington (60 miles north of Vista).
It is a huge building so Quiksilver will save some cash by closing this office. In addition I can bet that some of employees are either going to be let go or will decide not to relocate/do the commute.
However in this economy, doing carpooling with friends and still be able to bring the beacon home is still a good option in this conditions.
