Artic Challenge 2010
The Oakley Arctic Challenge is pleased to announce our first ten confirmed riders for the 2010 event. These ten riders are some of the best all-around snowboards in the world hailing from Europe, Scandinavia, Canada and the US: Andreas Ygre Wiig, Torstein Horgmo, Mikkel Bang, Eero Ettala, Antti Autti, Peetu Piiroinen, Charles Reid, Sebastiant Toutant, Jake Blauvelt and Chas Guldemond.
In the coming months TAC will be announcing another 14 top pro-riders to the list of competitors on our web site Thearcticchallenge.com. Additionally, 16 final spots are open for amateur riders with a distinct desire to spend the most vital years of their lives in airports, hotels and rental cars. The riders can expect quite the experience in Norway for 2010 with the addition of a slopestyle event to the already world famous TAC quarterpipe.
As previously announced, TAC is providing double rooms for the top 24 invited riders. If opening a bottle of champagne with a friend in Oslo sounds tempting to you, then this is the year to join us for a New Years celebration.

Last weekend the best four participants out of 7 rounds have been invited to La Plagne (FRA) to try to stick the last trick – a BS 900° shown by Quiksilver Pro Freddy Austbo!
Benno Postert (AUT), Martin Kalliola (FIN), Niko Lansio (FIN) and Saku Tiilikainen (FIN) are allowed to feel like a snowboard pro for a couple of days. Quiksilver payed everything: flights, accomodations, breakfasts, dinners, lifttickets and drinks. On top our four finalists received a wildcard for Mathieu Crepel´s Invitational Chromatophobia which allowed them to ride the La Plagne Superpipe with stars like Markku Koski, Oliver Gittler, Frederik Austbo, Arthur Longo and Christian Haller, only to name a few.
Saturday was the big day for the finalists. They had two hours time, to stick their BS 900° at the reserved Kicker at La Plagne snowpark. you can go in here to vote for the one who did it best.

Bell's Beach, Rip Curl surf contest
Guys like Kelly and Parko do really well at this contest. Like Jbay, my favorite surfer to watch when it's big is Kelly.
His signature cutback and overall style fit well at those spot.
Bells Beach is an A-grade surf break & one of the world's most famous beaches. It is a high performance right-hand reef break that features two unique reef sections: 'Rincon' & 'The Bowl'.
The contest will be on from April 7 to April 18.For more pictures & video, check out Surfline.
